At present, Jumbo bags have become popular due to their usefulness in transportation and production in the majority of industries: agriculture, transportation, exportation,....
Jumbo bags are "a large-sized packaging that can hold from 500-2500kg, used for storing, preserving, and transporting goods to various places to prevent damage".
Jumbo bags are commonly used to best serve production, storage, and transportation. Globally, jumbo bags are called FIBC - Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container. And as the name suggests, jumbo bags are widely used, serving multiple industries of the economy such as food, agricultural products, minerals, construction, chemicals, etc.
Jumbo bags are currently a type of packaging widely used worldwide. However, during the process of researching, selecting, and using jumbo bags, many people often think that "the thicker and heavier the jumbo bag is, the better it withstands force and the higher the cost compared to thinner bags". From the perspective of jumbo bag manufacturers, this notion is not entirely correct.
In the production of jumbo bags, there are many components that make up the bags, thus resulting in different qualities. The most decisive factor is the proportion of virgin PP plastic pellets in the raw material mixture. The higher the proportion of virgin PP plastic pellets, the higher the price and the better the quality.
However, some jumbo bag manufacturing companies, to reduce costs, may reduce the proportion of virgin PP plastic pellets and replace them with recycled plastic pellets and cheaper calcium carbonate (CaCO3) filler. This means that the quality is significantly reduced, and the cost also decreases.

To ensure load-bearing capacity, jumbo bag manufacturers must increase the thickness of the bags. However, a higher proportion of filler and recycled pellets will make the bag less stretchy and weaker, not only that, but producing jumbo bags with a high proportion of recycled plastic pellets or filler will not guarantee safety over time, poor food safety hygiene quality (as recycled plastic pellets contain many impurities), and not ensure reuse multiple times. Therefore, although thicker, the quality is still not as good as jumbo bags with lower thickness and higher proportion of virgin pellets.
Based on the above analysis, it can be seen that the thinner the jumbo bag, the cheaper the price is only true when the proportion of raw material mixture and jumbo bag production technology are the same.
The cost to produce thinner jumbo bags with a safety factor of 5:1 will be much higher than producing thicker jumbo bags with a safety factor of only 3:1. In the production of Jumbo bags, Louis Packaging Company always uses 95% virgin PP plastic pellets, the remaining 5% are necessary additives, ensuring standard quality for difficult markets such as the US, Europe, Japan,....
