OPP film is a type of printing film with a thickness ranging from 12µ to 40µ. In packaging printing, OPP film is used for printing and laminating onto woven PP bags with a thickness ranging from 18µ to 20µ, and it is corona-treated before printing and lamination.
The laminating layer serves to cover the surface of the bag; the woven PP fabric is coated with a layer of PP adhesive. Laminated woven PP bags may not be printed or may only be flexo-printed with single-color content, vector images, and relatively sharp resolution.
The process of laminating woven PP bags: woven PP fabric passes through a laminating system with molten PP resin beads under pressure from a glue spray head evenly spread on one or both sides at a dosage of 20gr/m2. This adhesive layer helps to reinforce the physical properties of woven PP bags and provides moisture resistance for the packaged products. The laminating adhesive also serves to bond between the woven PP fabric and the printed OPP film, creating laminated woven PP bags with OPP film (PP/OPP or BOPP bags).
